The Pouilly-Fumé ‘Intro’ is the equivalent of a village wine and there’s more focus on the fruit than the terroir, so it lacks the precise minerality of their ‘Caillottes’ cuvée, as it’s a blend of various plots from different soils, but that’s not a criticism, it’s just a stylistic difference and won’t upset anyone in need of a precision-tooled glass of Sauvignon Blanc from its spiritual heartland in the Loire Valley. It’s perky, and refreshing with ‘cut glass’ purity of citrus and cut grass.
