Sicily Nerello Mascalese Ghiaia Nera is born from terraces arranged on volcanic sediments, located in the Piano Dario district, in the Tascante di Tasca d'Almerita estate, on the north-east side of Etna. It is made with pure Nerello Mascalese grapes, harvested in the second half of October. Fermentation takes place for 6 days at a controlled temperature of 25-30 ° C. Once the malolactic fermentation is carried out, the refinement continues for 12 months in oak barrels. It appears of a ruby red color and has excellent brightness. On the nose there are evident floral sensations, enriched with notes of wisteria and berries. On the palate it is fresh and persistent, with silky tannins. To be served with first courses and red meats, it is excellent in the company of game and aged cheeses.
