Bert “Tito” Beveridge is a pioneer in the world of microdistillators and a brilliant entrepreneur. His idea has always been to bring craftsmanship into the industrial production of spirits and so, in a personal moment of change, he decided to create his own vodka. A project, that of Tito's, born with the intention of creating a spirit of the highest quality, indeed the best vodka in the world and offering it at a reasonable price. In 1997 Tito fought hard to get permission to open the first Texas distillery, without investors, without training and with only a small budget available. With the help of friends he finally managed to achieve his dream by opening the first distillery in a warehouse in the city of Austin, Texas. Working hard, the enterprising Texan perfected the recipe for his gluten free vodka: 100% corn, use of the pot still method, normally adopted for single malt scotches and the finest French cognacs, and six distillation processes to obtain the purity of the much sought after product. The brilliance and unparalleled smoothness of this vodka are the greatest expression of this distillate, perfect to be consumed straight or as a main ingredient in excellent cocktails. Tito's Handmade Vodka started the 'Vodka for Dog People' project, with the aim of protecting and safeguarding pets, some of which still live near the distillery and Tito's offices. The vision of the 'Vodka for Dog People' program is to improve the lives of pets and their families all over the world.
